Position: We are seeking a passionate and motivated Underground Transmission Engineer.
At XYZER, a dynamic and growing company, we deliver end-to-end engineering solutions for high-stakes subsea and underground power transmission serving data centers, battery storage systems, utilities, and renewable energy grid interconnections.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborating with engineering and design leads to execute underground transmission projects.
• Assisting in specifications and technical document packages development for underground projects, manhole and equipment installation, riser structure, conduit and duct bank design, and cable replacement design.
• Assessing construction feasibility through routing analysis, conflict analysis, and construction cost estimation.
• Performing site visit and field inspections if needed.
• Preparing cable pulling calculations, ampacity calculations, cable selection studies, grounding and bonding schemes.
• Assisting in generating proposals, engineering/project cost estimates, and execution schedules.
• Regularly meeting and corresponding with clients, subcontractors, and external personnel.
• Assisting Project Management in monitoring progress and reporting throughout project execution.
• Assisting in formulating scopes of work for topographic mapping, surveying, and subsurface utility locating. Reviewing and integrating survey data into designs.
• Incorporating various cable installation methods such as direct burial, concrete duct bank, bridge attachment, and trenchless techniques.
• Utilizing different types of cables as required for projects, including XLPE and HPFF cable systems.
Education, Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structure, electrical or mechanical engineering
• 3 years experience for Intermediate and 1 year for Junior level
• Professional Engineer (PE) or eligible to apply
• Knowledge of underground construction methods and electrical system equipment
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus
• Familiarity with topographic mapping & surveying, and subsurface utility engineering/utility locating procedures and practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize work
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Travel to client and project locations expected

Travel/Site Visit: 10% to 15%, opportunity for local site visits and meetings at client offices.

Position: We are seeking a passionate and motivated Design Drafter to develop plan and profile drawings, detail drawings, and revisions required to support construction documentation.

Education, Qualifications:
• Associate's degree or equivalent technical education
• Willingness to learn and take ownership of work for completeness and accuracy
• 3+ years of experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience in creating georeferenced alignments, profiles, and details in the power utilities industry (transmission & substation) or pipeline networks or surveying
• Experience with isometric and rendering is advantageous
• Familiarity with MicroStation is a plus
• Background in Mathematics as our deliverables are scaled drawings
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
